Cassidy woke up in a panic, her heart racing as she realized where she was. She immediately shook Nova awake, her voice urgent. "Nova, wake up! You need to drive me home. I have to get ready for work."
Nova groaned, rubbing his eyes as he slowly sat up. "Calm down, Cass. Stay with me for a while longer," he said, his voice still heavy with sleep. He reached for her arm, trying to pull her back into bed.
Cassidy yanked her arm away, frustration bubbling over. "Isn’t spending the night with you enough?" she snapped. Her head was pounding, a reminder of the wine she had consumed the night before.
