CHAPTER 16 THE SON Night settled over Cruden Bay, but the cottage stayed warm. The radiators did their job, and Brian and I didn't take that for granted after our chilly experience in the past. He sat at the dining table, hunched over his laptop, scrolling through old Scottish newspaper clippings. "Jo!" His voice shot up an octave. "Come look at this!" His fingers drummed against the wooden table, his eyes never leaving the screen. "It's big. Possibly massive. Potentially enormous."
