Everleigh I wake up to bright lights overhead. I groan as I try to move and cover my eyes with my arm. Something pulls at my arm and keeps it from coming all the way up. I cracked my eyes open and notice the needles, wires and tubes around me. The all-white walls and the uncomfortable bed under my back. The scratchy blanket that laid across my body. I sigh opening my eyes and turning my head to look at him. I suck in a breath at the sight of him. His eyes are no longer the bright chocolate brown I’m use to. They are duller. Less lively. They look sunken in and have dark circles around them like he hasn’t slept in a while. I pull my hand away from him before trying to sit up. The pain in my chest and lower body feels like I’ve been hit by a semi-truck. Grey sees I’m struggling and helps
