The fall season had begun, and sunny days were increasingly giving way to rain. Whenever it rained, Berk and Osman had to quickly gather the outdoor items to prevent them from getting soaked. On one such day, a sudden downpour drenched a couple that arrived at the camp. While moving the belongings to a safe place, Berk noticed the couple and went over to greet them. “Hello, welcome!” he said. Seeing how drenched they were, he added, “Looks like you got pretty wet. Come inside right away,” as he directed them to the lounge. After they went inside, the man smiled slightly and said, “Yes, the rain caught us off guard. We don’t have a reservation, but do you have a room available?” Since the receptionist had gone to the festival, Berk was handling reservations. Nodding politely, he said, “Of course, no problem. We have a room available. First, may I have your passports to check you in?” The man pulled the passports out of his pocket and handed them to Berk. “Sure, here you go. By the way, I’m Onur, and this is Zoe.” As Berk took the passports, he glanced over at Zoe. From the moment he first saw her, he felt something strange, yet comforting inside. This feeling was different from the intense and complicated attachment he had felt for Nil; it was more of a simple, genuine desire to connect. Zoe’s presence seemed to ease the emotional ups and downs he had experienced with Nil, and this realization brought Berk a sense of inner peace. Lost in his thoughts for a moment, Berk said, “Your check-in is complete. Please follow me, and I’ll show you to your room.” He then led them upstairs. While leading them to one of the upper rooms, Berk felt a twinge of jealousy. Seeing Zoe with another man made him wonder if they were a couple. However, they could just be friends sharing a room to save on costs. This uncertainty lingered in his mind. He decided to invite them to the bar to chat, hoping to understand the nature of their relationship. After the rain stopped, the couple spent the rest of the day relaxing on the terrace of their room. When dinner was served, they came to the dining area, ate quickly, and returned to their room. Berk had hoped they would come to the bar afterward. He wanted a chance to talk to Zoe and learn more about her relationship with Onur, to put his jealousy at ease. However, they didn’t come, and Berk had to wait for another opportunity to find out if they were a couple. As Berk tried to make sense of his growing interest in Zoe, his questions only multiplied, leaving him in an increasingly complex emotional state. At one point, Onur came down to the bar and approached Berk, saying, “Can I grab the guitar from the stage?” Berk responded in a friendly manner, “No problem, as long as you take good care of it, you can borrow whatever you need.” He brought the guitar from the stage and handed it to Onur. Onur took the guitar, thanked Berk, and went back to his room. After a while, Berk heard music coming from the terrace. When he noticed other guests heading up there, his curiosity got the better of him, and he made his way upstairs. As he climbed the stairs, he heard a woman singing. At first, he thought Onur was playing the guitar while one guest sang. However, when he reached the terrace, it felt like he had stepped into another dimension. The song held the other guests on the terrace in a spellbound silence. Zoe was playing the guitar and singing with her enchanting voice, captivating everyone. Berk took a deep breath, captivated by the magic of Zoe’s voice. While the effect of the weed made everything seem more mesmerizing, there was a genuine depth and attraction in Zoe’s presence that went beyond mere enchantment. As he tried to understand the source of his intense emotions, he couldn’t deny the indescribable pull in Zoe’s voice. Zoe’s voice and presence made Berk question whether his feelings for Nil had been an illusion. Zoe’s impact on him was replacing Nil, leaving Berk in an even more emotionally complicated state. As he found himself under the influence of these new emotions, Berk questioned whether his love for Nil had been real or just an escape. The next morning, Berk had no idea that he would soon face a day that would change all his plans. Unaware of what was to come, he closed the bar and went to the beach with his friends to smoke weed.
