Berk was the first to arrive at the airport. After completing the check-in process, he sat in a café and waited for Osman. Since there wasn't a smoking area in the terminal, he kept stepping outside to smoke. Berk rolled his own tobacco, which often led to misunderstandings. When people saw him rolling, they thought, "He must be smoking weed." Sometimes, people who wanted to smoke weed would even approach him to hang out. However, Berk wasn't bothered by these assumptions. He never lost control when he smoked weed or drank alcohol; instead, he just enjoyed it. When Berk stepped outside for a smoke again, he noticed Osman on one of the arriving buses. He put out his cigarette and walked towards the bus stop. As Osman got off the bus, walking unsteadily, he saw Berk and tried to pull himself together, but stumbled. Berk took a closer look and understood the situation. Smiling slightly, he said, "You've been drinking again, haven't you?" Osman avoided eye contact, trying to steady himself. "I just had a few beers to relax," he replied. Berk frowned, but he wasn't surprised by Osman's behavior. "If they don't let you on the flight, we're screwed," he said. To avoid any issues with Osman's condition, Berk decided to take control of the situation. "Come on, let's get your check-in done. I'll stay by your side," he said, guiding Osman to the check-in counter. Berk handled all the conversations to avoid drawing attention to Osman's drunken state, making sure the staff didn't notice anything. Fortunately, no one did, and they completed the process without any issues. They returned to the café to wait for their flight. After ordering coffee to help Osman sober up, Berk noticed that a national team soccer match was on TV. He excitedly sat at a table facing the screen and said, "The national team's playing! Perfect timing!" with enthusiasm. Osman wasn't much into soccer, but Berk was a huge fan who never missed a national team match. Osman sighed and shrugged. "You know me, I'm not really into soccer, but since we've got some time before the flight, let's watch." Berk, unfazed by Osman's lack of interest, got engrossed in the game. After finishing his coffee, Osman slowly dozed off, his eyes half-open, staring at the screen. Noticing that the flight time was approaching, Berk gently nudged Osman awake. Fortunately, the short nap had helped Osman pull himself together. After passing through passport control, they saw that boarding hadn't started yet, so they decided to browse the duty-free shops. Berk excitedly called out to Osman when he spotted some inexpensive vodka in one of the stores. "Osman, look! Vodka's only five euros!" Osman raised an eyebrow and smiled slightly as he walked over. "No way we can get through a two-hour flight without a drink," he said, grabbing the bottle. While Osman was paying, Berk looked around for something to mix the vodka with at the nearby food and drink stalls, but was shocked at the prices. When Osman came over, Berk said, "I was thinking we shouldn't drink it straight, but look, the soda or juice to mix it with costs more than the vodka itself." Osman winked and smiled. "If we drink it straight, we'll get drunk faster." Berk, relieved that Osman had sobered up, now gave him a disapproving look for planning to get drunk again. As they headed to the boarding gate, a staff member promoting a*****e offered them two shots of vodka. They exchanged glances and smiled as they took the shots. The burn of the vodka made them laugh as they walked towards the gate. After passing security and entering the departure lounge, they were both slightly buzzed. Osman lightly tapped Berk on the shoulder. "Have you ever seen anyone head to Iran this cheerful?" he said, squinting his eyes. Berk laughed and shook his head. "Definitely not," he replied, then added jokingly, "But remember, there's not much of a 'party' atmosphere in Iran. The Sharia laws are pretty strict, so try to keep our 'cheer' a little low-key, alright?" Osman shrugged, pouting slightly. "Come on, we're tourists. We can do what we want. Plus, look at all the beautiful girls around!" Berk smiled outwardly, but inside, his worries were growing. "As if being drunk wasn't enough, now he's trying to flirt," he thought to himself. However, he didn't want to dampen Osman's mood. As the boarding process started, Berk muttered under his breath, "I really hope Osman doesn't keep this up on the plane." Since the flight wasn't crowded, boarding was completed quickly, and the two of them settled into their seats, eagerly waiting for takeoff. Once the plane took off, the cabin crew began their service. But since they were on a budget airline, everything was for sale. As the flight was short, they decided not to order any food and planned to save their appetite for breakfast when they landed in Tehran in the morning. As the flight attendants approached, Berk said to Osman, "Ask for two cups." But Osman suddenly became shy, and when the attendants reached their row, he couldn't say anything. Berk quickly jumped in, "Can we have two cups, please?" The flight attendants were initially surprised but soon understood Berk's intent and handed them the cups with a smile. They were also a bit amused that they dared to drink on a flight heading to Iran. Berk poured the vodka into the cups, and they quickly finished the bottle. But the alcohol only made Osman bolder. He scanned the cabin and started looking at some of the women traveling alone. Berk looked at Osman with concern. "Don't even think about it," he whispered. "The rules in Iran are really strict, especially about moral conduct. If someone feels uncomfortable and complains, we could be in serious trouble." Osman ignored Berk's warnings and winked and smiled at a few women. Berk was uncomfortable with his behavior and decided to act as if he didn't know him to avoid drawing attention. When Osman tried to say something to him, Berk shrugged and turned away. He put on his headphones to distance himself from Osman and eventually drifted off to sleep while listening to music. At one point, Berk opened his eyes to check on Osman, only to see him dancing in the aisle. Berk pretended not to notice and closed his eyes again, going back to sleep. When the plane entered Iranian airspace and began its descent into Tehran, Berk woke up to the captain's announcement and looked around. He saw Osman beside him, half-asleep with his eyes half-closed. Fortunately, Osman's strange behavior hadn't caused any issues. Berk felt relieved and thought, "At least nothing happened, for now."
