Eve's POV
The air in the prison was damp and musty, filled with death and the entrenched cries of its counterparts.
A small part of me gagged subconsciously as I stared at the warden, shrugging gently to show her what I meant.
She understood almost immediately, collecting the envelope filled with money from me and taking me into his designated prison ward.
He looked like a mess. He had not gone through trial yet, but he was considered a first grade criminal due to the number of cases they now found he had participated in.
His eyes seemed to light up as they landed on me.
" Oh goodness Eve! Thank God you are finally here. I was nearly losing my mind and these people think it's a nice thing to keep me locked up here and not see my lawyer!" Adrian said.
