Alexander's POV
Her lips were only on mine for a few seconds, but it felt like years. All the emotional buildup and the weeks of yearning finally come together to snap right into place.
I came back to my senses first, pushing her off of me, her eyes red with the tears she had cried and her lips now turning pink.
She ran her tongue over it, wanting to pull me in again, but I moved back quickly and her eyes fell.
" We want to keep a distance from each other, remember?" I asked her.
The anger that flashed through her eyes at that moment was paralyzing.
" I did not mean I don't want to kiss you..." I was beginning to say but she had already gotten up, walking a safe distance away from me even though my body cried for her.
