BRIANNA’S POV I looked outside ocassionally as the train moved. I sat by the window, arms folded, pretending to read the book in my lap but my eyes weren’t following the words. Something felt off. The air around me was too still. Too heavy. I couldn’t explain it, but every fiber of my being was on edge. My wolf, had gone eerily quiet, which was never a good sign. She was always with me, sometimes talking, guiding, sometimes even nagging—but now? Silence. I rubbed the back of my neck and glanced around the train car. There was nthing out of place.
