BRIANNA’S POV I sneaked out the window and walked silently round the palace grounds. I knew this was dangerous but I wasn’t going to let them get away. Not with my pendant. Not with my family’s legacy. I spotted the figure ahead. It was a shadowy blur in a cloak, walking between garden pillars. My body ached with every step I took. My wounds weren’t fully healed yet.
