I couldn’t remember the last time I’d felt this light.
The sun was warm on my skin, and the distant screams of excited children blended perfectly with the sound of carousel music playing in the background. The scent of popcorn, roasted nuts, and sugary cotton candy filled the air. All around me, I could see balloons floating, kids dragging their parents toward rides, couples laughing like they hadn’t a care in the world.
