The Betrayal
The voice echoed through the tunnel.
“Bring me the girl.”
I felt Jax’s hand tighten around mine.
“Who is it?” I whispered.
He shook his head.
“I don’t know.”
But his eyes said otherwise.
He recognized something.

A voice from long ago.
Luke motioned for everyone to keep moving.
“Whatever happens, don’t stop.”
We hurried through the narrow tunnel.
Behind us, footsteps entered the passage.
They were coming after us.
