I'm going to kill Autumn.
Even though the bar I walk into isn't as noisy and crowded as I thought it would be, she's not here.
"Lia!" A head of blonde hair that looks vaguely familiar stands out among the people. "Here!"
Wells raises his hand, pausing from the burger he's eating, and waves more enthusiastically when he sees me stuck in place, not moving toward him.
"Come on!" he shouts, which makes everyone look at him and then at me.
Embarrassed by all the eyes on me, I force myself to move one foot after the other and stop at the chair right in front of him. Wells gestures with his head, telling me to sit with him. All of it comes with a frankly dazzling smile.
I look around, aware that everyone is still staring at me.
"Stop looking at her, you're going to overwhelm her," he says
