"Are you really leaving us?" Lysa asked Ethan.
He had decided to move into town to school there with his elder brother who he'd share an apartment with.
"Yes, Lysa." He heaved a sigh.
"Come here," Lysa gave him a hug. "I'll miss you a lot."
"Me too, mom."
That's when his parents barged into the conversation.
"Hey Ethan!" His 'elder' father threw him an overwhelming hug. "My boy, I'll miss you."
With a fake smile, Ethan sighed. "Me too, father."
"Ethan, take this with you," his 'younger' father held out a hand, giving him a present.
He reached out to collect it.
"It's sad to have a son you've been with, leave you so suddenly. So I thought it was right for us to buy you a car."
Ethan opened his eyes wide and unwrapped the gift. It was a remote control car key.
Lysa held his hand and pecked him. She then pointed to the gate at the front yard.
Ethan looked and found an astonishing brand new blue Chevrolet Camaro convertible.
Running out of words, Ethan threw himself at his younger father, hugging him tight.
Ethan suddenly felt remorse for leaving his parents abruptly.
He let go and followed Lysa to the gate at the front yard, waving the gay couple goodbye.
Upon reaching the car, Lysa gave him a final hug and a gift.
"It's a diary. Keep it safe, okay?"
Ethan nodded. "Sure, mom."
"You're sixteen, and I remember you attended driving classes this past summer, huh?"
"Yes, Lysa."
"And I bet you won't give your baby a scratch?"
"No, mom, never."
"It's up to you. Now, go on," Lysa nodded.
Ethan pressed the button and the Camaro opened its doors upwards.
Great!
Ethan opened the boot of the car and put in his luggages.
He slid into its sleek seats, closed its doors, lowered its windows and told Lysa a final goodbye before driving away.
And that was it.
He wouldn't meet his gay parents until he decides to do so.
.....A Year After.....
Ethan's POV
When I arrived at Greg's, he let me stay there, given the orders from our parents.
But life there was horrible.
I couldn't concentrate cos I'd have the sound of loudspeakers bang through my dear head all night due to the frequent parties Greg held in the house.
Plus, he was annoying!
When drunk, he could not tell where his room was. Instead, he'd bring both girls and boys and grind with them in my own room! For fucksakes!
I could not bear it anymore.

"Greg, I swear, you should stop the f*****g party!" I would yell into his ears, but he'd only go tipsy with a giggle.
"Go live with Fisher, then!" He would shout back drunkenly.
Oh yeah.....
Fisher....
He was Greg's bestie, and a popular jock at school, while I was a nerd.
A popular nerd at that.
"Damn you!" I'd yell at him and leave the house.
*****
I can recall that day I came home from night classes and found Greg and a girl making out on my bed.
The classes were brain-busting and excruciating, so I expected a cool atmosphere, since it was midweek and not weekend.
But it turned out that my annoying brother set up a party without notifying me.
I had to turn back, go out, and walk down the street.
"Ethan?" A soft masculine voice called from behind.
I turned around to face the popular jock at school standing few meters away from me.
"Fisher?" I choked.
He chuckled softly and threw on an intimidating smile.
"Yes, it's me," he spoke up, making me choke more against my wishes.
I always did this anytime he was around me.
I guess I'm a godforsaken nerd, afterall.
"Why are you out here?"
"I.....I....am just strolling..... strolling down the street....."
He chuckled. "Come on, let's join the party."
"I.....I.... You know I can't....."
Of course, he knew!
Then why.....? Is this his way of harassing a nerd like me? f**k!
"Greg told me to get you back. He saw you leave, and wants to explain why he set the party. I can't disobey my friend, you know?" Fisher smirked.
"How would a drunk tell you that?" I scoffed.
"Just come with me..... I can't let my friend's bro be left out of fun, you know?"
"I just prefer walking around," I snubbed him.
