I nod helping the doctor as carter places his hands on adlais temples, she was ghostly pale looking, almost blue. I wasn’t going to lose her again, I lost her once before and that won’t happen again.
She might be grown but she’s my baby. She is my life. I devoted so much time to just loving this little girl who has risen against all other odds and become this amazing person, a woman.
She will be an amazing mum one day too, she already has kids she just can’t see them yet but I can feel them. I know the spirits of those designated to her are floating around her. They may not come from her body but they are hers and she will be outstanding. So I refuse to let this win.
