Jane's POV
“You’re going to die this time,” she said softly.
The words sent a chill down my spine.
“What?” I asked, standing up.
“You heard me.”
I shook my head slightly. “You’re cruel.”
“Am I?” she tilted her head. “Or are you just finally seeing the truth?”
“I can’t believe you,” I whispered, trying to calm my heaving chest.
“You don't have to. I already believe in myself,” she said. “But you… No one will believe you.”
That hit hard because it was true. Liam didn't believe me, and that was because of her. How was she the same girl I saw in my vision? How?
“You’ve changed,” I said quietly.
Just for a fleeting second, something flickered in her eyes.
“You weren’t like this,” I added.
She scoffed immediately. “And what would you know about me?”
“I know enough,” I said.
