Alpha Liam's POV
Something in her tone made me pause. It wasn't because it was loud. It was because her voice was steady with certainty. And that made me want to listen to her.
So I crossed my arms, ready to hear her out.
“Fine,” I said. “Talk.”
Josephine took a small step forward.
“She didn’t leave on her own,” she said.
I frowned immediately. “We’ve been over this…”
“No,” she interrupted gently but firmly. “You haven’t.”
My jaw tightened.
“She was forced out,” Josephine continued. “Aria sent her packing after framing her for theft.”
“I know that part.”
“Do you?”
“Yes,” I said. “Aria told me and she explained her reasons.”
Josephine’s expression shifted into a frown.
“And you believed her?”
“At least she took accountability for her actions… unlike someone we both know.
