Alpha Liam’s POV
As each day passed, I couldn't think straight. I was thinking, but I wasn't sure if they were the right thoughts. I had declined meetings and conversations that could bring me face to face with anyone. Josephine, Aria, Caleb, even Jane.
However, Caleb would never listen when it came to things like that. He would always show himself as an insufferable beta.
Despite being watched by him, I couldn’t sit still. I have changed positions more times than I can count. I sat, I stood, I paced, I stopped, then paced again. Nothing worked. Nothing slowed my thoughts.
Everything kept circling back to Jane. Her face when I asked her to be taken away. She looked like I had betrayed her when I was clearly the one betrayed.
I exhaled sharply, dragging a hand through my hair.
