Jane’s POV
It had only been seventeen days since I arrived at the camp, yet it felt like I had lived my entire life here. For me, everything had changed.
My body had changed. It was not the elaborated change that's obvious. But it was enough for me to notice.
The skin around my arms was now firm as muscles were sore in places around them. My palms had small calluses from gripping knives and blades, and my stamina had improved just enough that I no longer collapsed after two laps around the field.
And my mind also changed. Now, I believed I could do anything I set my mind to do. Not everything requires supernatural power in our world.
