I felt refreshed after a good night's sleep, and I thought the refreshing feeling would last. Throughout the night, Jane's calm breathing beside me was comforting, a luxury I thought I couldn't afford. I thought she wouldn't sleep after throwing a tantrum last night, but I thought wrong.
She slept so well, her soft snoring became a melody to my ears. At some point, I asked myself… “What's wrong with you? Why would you find peace with her and not anyone else?
Thinking about her always made me confused. The old book, the familiar coffee she made. Then the moon goddess claimed that we're somehow connected. Nothing makes sense, not even my newly founded peace.
As the morning sunlight seeped through the window, it made me think it would be a nice day. I pretended to be asleep
