My mind was beating real fast as I followed him.
"Are you afraid?" He asked in a smug tone. His mouth curving in a smirk.
"Afraid of what? Why should I be afraid?" I scoffed. "Among us two, you're the one who's supposed to be afraid."
"Says the male whose heart is beating dreadfully fast." Meka raised a brow at me. "I can hear how fast beating your heart is."
"Shut up!" I blushed deeply at being caught easily. "What about the car? What will happen to it?"
I look back at the car that looks more inviting than the ominous trees clustered together.
The truth is, I trust Meka, but I don't trust the trees.
"Don't worry about it. Ud will take it back." Meka smiled as if he knows what's going on in my mind.
