[Jaxon] I was sitting on a thick stone bench, overlooking a murky pond. It was one of my favorite spots in Kathryn Albertson Park. I would often run on the greenbelt along the Boise River back home. On days when I’d wanted time to think, I would take the exits to one of the three major parks downtown. The park was a conservation park and there were restrictions on what seasons dogs could enter the park, since it was geared toward bird conservation. I would see the usual ducks and geese, but occasionally there would be a family of quail scurrying about. Sometimes, I would even see deer. It was one of my favorite parks. Very serene and beautiful.
