There was a strange silence after Adrian trailed off, Mirabel eyed him as a sign for him to go on but he was too lost in thought to say that.
Mirabel's mom thought he was nervous since that happens to most guys in their first meeting with their mother-in-law.
"It is nice to meet you," Mirabel's mom said and moved closer to hug him but he moved back instead.
Mirabel's mom glanced at her for an explanation but she was short of words too, Adrian was excited to meet her mom she could tell from his voice but he is doing the opposite right now.
"Adrian," Mirabel called and he glared at her, she was confused and she moved closer to him.
She held his hand and stare into his eyes but he was throwing invisible daggers at her mom instead.
"What is wrong?" Mirabel managed to ask. "Who is she?" H
