“Caleb.” Mom whispered as she tried to grab my arm. “Caleb, Honey. You have to rest. It has been two days.” She said, making me look at her.
“Yeah. I fūcking know that.” I growled, rubbing my face like a mad man.
“Caleb.” Dad growled at me as he joined us.
“Sorry, Mom. I know this isn’t your fault.” I said, taking a deep breath. “I just don’t understand. I want to do something to help her wake up.”
“Oh, I know, Sweetheart.” She said, caressing my cheeks.
“The pack needs you too, Caleb.” Dad interjected, making me sigh.
“I know, but Kim and Lucas are helping me with that. Everything is in order. I have been checking in, but you can’t expect me to leave my luna’s side.” I said through clenched teeth.
