The stairs lead upwards and there’s an opening!
Carey climbed the stairs- they were carved out of stone- meticulously. The steps were icy and cold and very slippery- the only source of light was the one opening at the top about two feet in diameter. Ram followed him from behind, not knowing what to expect. About 30 seconds later, Carey peeked his head out from the top of the entrance and was immediately welcomed with a gust of fresh, ice-cold air. He blinked his eyes and slowly came out of the opening and helped Ram out too. But as both of them stood atop the hill, they were amazed to see a thick layer of fog all around them, covering them like a thick blanket. If this is the very top of the mountain, we have to be very careful or we will fall right off the edge.
