While the ladies looked after Carey’s cold dead body, the man came back with a plethora of strange wild flowers and herbs in his hand. One of the ladies took the herbs from his hand, while the other kept praying with her eyes closed. Then the woman singled out the herbs and flowers and placed them one after the other in a straight line all over Carey’s body from top to bottom. Ram counted seven of them, placed carefully starting from his forehead to his feet. He thought they were making this up and was expecting them to crush the herbs and turn them into some medicine. Ram looked at Carey’s body, the herbs and flowers, placed upon his body were beginning to dissolve into his skin.
