Chapter fourteen

Joseph:

Louise had set up a Buffet of Chinese food in the middle of the table with 5 different flavour soft drinks on each end of the table. Each person just grabbed a plate and could chose want every they wanted. She seemed to get a large amount of everything. My beautiful mate is sitting next to me with her plate piled high with a bit of everything. This is the most amount of food I’ve seen her be willing to eat which makes me so happy. Maybe I can just feed her Chinese every day? She smiles her cute smile as she tries the honey chicken. She’s so innocent. I hope that never changes. Eventually Sam, jess and Luke join us at the table.

“So girls how did you shopping trip go today? Spend a lot of money?”. I smirk. Emily’s face goes red as she almost chokes on some rice.

“Of course we did brother. You asked me to help get Emily everything she needed. That’s what I did.”

“I’m sorry I told her we didn’t need so much stuff”. My mate pipes in.

“Baby it’s ok. You needed you own clothes. I want you to have everything you need.” I give me mate a kiss on the cheek and turn my attention to the table. “Now while we’re all together we need to organise tonight’s event of welcoming the new Alpha”.

“Oh who did you end up picking?”. Jess asks politely. I make a note to make some time to get to know Jess. After all she is my betas mate which makes her the beta female and a new member of my pack.

“Micheal”. My mates face turns ghost white. “ He was the beta so he already knows the going ons of the pack, his quite strong and I believe with the right guidance could be a good Alpha. He can pick his beta and gamma but they need to be approved by us also. I thought we could wait a few more days see how everything’s going and if everything goes will we’ll head home. We will leave a few men in case of any vampire attacks but besides what happened last night there really hasnt been anything serious so no need for us to stay”. Everyone nods.

“Don’t worry I’ll handle everything for tonight sir” Sam states

“Let me help”. Jess chirps in. “ I mean we’re mates and it’s going to be my job to help you with these sorts of things right? I may as well start now”. She smiles.

“Very well. I will leave it to you guys”.

“Well well what’s going on here?”. Sarah’s standing at the door of the dining room dressed in a skimpy pink strapless dress. “Joe why didn’t you tell me lunch was here? I travelled all this way to spend time with you. You knew I would be hungry”. She says sweetly.

“What are you doing here?”. Sam growls. “ I don’t remember you getting invited”. Sam has never liked Sarah. He thought she was the biggest b***h. I never saw it and I still don’t . Besides her crazy side in bed she’s sweet. His just convinced she wants me for the gown.

“I came to surprise our king. I know how excited he gets to see me”. She gives me a wink and I hear my mate growl from next to me. I place my hand on her leg.

“Yes and what a lovely surprise it was. But you know the rules. You shouldn’t have come without permission”. She walks towards me and wraps her arms around my neck.

“ Well I was worried. I haven’t heard from you since you got here. You barely go a few hours without talking to me. Plus I missed you”. I can see the angrier forming in my mates eyes. I move her hands away.

“You and me need to talk now. Head to the office”.

“Whatever you wish” she smirks.

“What the hell was that?!”. Sam asks. “Dude your mate is sitting right next to you”. I turn to my mate.

“Are you ok?”.

“Of course why wouldn’t I be? Your just going to spend some alone time with your ex. What’s the issue there”. She gets up pushing her chair in as she does. She heads off towards the office. s**t.

“Emily what are you doing?”. I quickly head after her.

“Well see this from my point of view. My mate just told another girl to ‘meet her in his office’ and not just any girl his ex.” We reach the door. “ I’m not stupid Joe. What do you think I will find if I open this door?”.

“Nothing! I told her it was over. I just wanted to talk to her about how she was behaving around you and how it was making you uncomfortable and ask her not to do it again”. My mate swings open the door.

Fuck! Not again. f**k, f**k, f**k!

Standing in front of us is a naked Sarah.

“ I didn’t realised you would be bringing your fake little mate to watch. Kinda turns me on though”. She licks her lips.

“f*****g hell Sarah! What did I tell you no more then an hour ago”. I look over at my mate who’s just standing there. No expression on her face.

“You want me! I know you do. Not this skinny red head t**t. Look at her just standing there like a f*****g loser. You love me. We’ve know. Each-other for years. You only just meet this b***h. I’m the perfect queen.”

“So Sam was right? You did only want me for my gown?”.

“And your big c**k. I mean that does fill me really good.” She smirks.

I look over at my mate and her eyes are glowing green. From the side of the rooms I watch as the vines from the 2 plants grow, slowly wrapping around Sarah’s legs. She starts screaming as she pulls at them.

“What the f**k is going on? Crazy b***h. Make her stop”. The vines start creeping up her legs covering every inch of her. “Joseph?! Make her f*****g stop. Now!”.

“Emily?”. I try getting my mates attention. “Baby? You need to stop.” The vines have made there way up to Sarah’s neck.

“Joseph!”. Her voice sounds more panicked. I slam my lips up against my mates. I feel her body relax and watch as her eyes go back to there normal shade of green.

“What…. What happened?”. She mumbles.

“Baby. I think you might be a hyprid”.
