Chapter twenty three

Joseph:

I was surprised to see my mate so confident and ready to face the man that taunted her for years. She’s grown so much in the last few days. Everyday she gets stronger and more confident. Hopefully soon everyone will see the Queen in her like I do. She keeps her head held high as we enter the dungeons. She stares only forwards.

“Stupid b***h” Sarah mumbles as we walk past her. I growl at her but my mate just ignores her.

“Awww a visitor. Wasn’t expecting to see you. Your mate not satisfying you enough?” he licks his lips at her.

“Enough”. She orders. “I am not your play thing anymore and you don’t control me”. I am very turned on right now.

“Hmmm been partying with the big dogs to much. Don’t worry, you’ll be knocked down a peg or two soon”.

“What’s the suppose to mean?”. I growl.

“Nothing. Nothing”. He quietly says. “Now if your not down here for a good f*****g what do I owe this pleasure?”.

“I want to know about my mother”. She says strongly.

“I don’t know anything about your mother”. He states firmly.

“Don’t lair.” I cut in. “We know everything. We know you know your not the real Alpha of this pack. We know you and Michael were accidentally switched at birth. We know that when you found out you did everything you could to cover your tracks so you didn’t have to hand the title over and we know that up Emily’s mother is Michaels sister, the sister you would have grown up with as yours”.

“Well you guys have been busy” he frowns. “But who says it was an accident that we were switched at birth? Maybe someone thought I would make a better Alpha”.

“Yeah and who would that be?”. I ask crossing my arms.

“If I told you then it wouldn’t be a surprise”. He states.

“If you know something else I order you to tell”.

“You have no power over me”. He laughs.

“Look William. I just want to know about my mother and what happened to her”. Emily asks.

“Well since you know things what do you think happened to her?”.

“I think you killed her. Then stole me, but I don’t know why”. He laughs an evil laugh.

“Well let’s go back to that night shall we. I was walking through the woods and caught a glimpse of her running along with you in her arms. She looked scared. I stopped her and her still thinking I was her brother though I would protect her. Instead I hit her of the head with a piece of wood ild found on the ground. She passed out. I took you and I left her for dead. End of story”. A growl escapes my mates lips.

“Why would you do any of that?” She growls.

“Well she was a b***h. I’d always hated her. That perfect b***h. Growing up she was always the favourite cause she was the ‘mates’ baby. Father always gave her special treatment. She always got want she wanted, until the day he sent her away. He thought I didn’t know where she was going but I knew exactly where she was going. She was going to the Fay Earth realm to spend some time with her f****d up mother. You know why her mother dropped her here in the first place ? Cause Fay hate were wolfs. I’m surprised her mother wasn’t just killed for mating with one. So when I got the chance to get rid of her. I did”. He grins.

“Why did you take me then? Why not just kill me to?”.

“Do you think I’m cruel enough to kill a baby? No. So what’s the next best thing. Make you a slave and make your life hell. Then kill you when you get older. The f*****g you was just a little bonus I added in. You should be thanking me for that one. I always made sure to fill you up”. This asshole!

“Hey guys”. We turn around to see Michael. “Thought you were going to wait for me”.

“Sorry we thought you might have been busy organising your new pack goals”. My mate says.

“Ha! Pack goals. This pack is useless good luck with that”. William snaps.

“They were useless because you were a bad Alpha” Michael says calmly.

“And you think you can do better?”. He growls

“Yes. Because I’m the real Alpha. Unlike you”.

“I wouldn’t get to comfortable prick”.

“And why’s that’s?”. Michael asks.

“If I told you that it wouldn’t be a surprise”. He grins.

“Ok. I think we’re done here.” I say, as we exit I lean over to the guards. “Keep a closer eye on him. His up to something”.

“Yes sir” they both chirp.

“What an asshole”. My mate says, I just have to laugh at her.

“Yes he is An asshole”.

“King Joseph. I was wondering if I could pick your brain about some pack stuff for a moment?”. Michael asks.

“Of course. Let’s take a seat in the study”. Michael and I head to the study while Emily decides to go find Alice. She’s excited to tell her everything she’s found out.

I can’t help worry though that William is up to something down there.
