“What was your role in Crimson River?” Alpha Xavier questioned.
I smiled, thinking back to working in the pack hospital. I loved it and honestly couldn’t wait to get back into a pair of scrubs.
“I was a nurse.”
His eyebrow raised slightly, “A nurse?” The Alpha’s tone wasn’t judging, just more surprised, which equally surprised me. I expected a scoff or a counter, which may still be coming, but he seemed more intrigued than full of judgement.
“Yes. I love the idea of helping people. And the medical field in general has always piqued my interest. There are never ending things to learn. Technology is always advancing. Did you know that humans use robots to perform surgery now?”
