“I’ve missed a lot since we parted ways all those years ago, huh?” Grant spoke softly, walking next to me through a large garden full of blooming flowers. “It’s been a long six years.” “I wanted to apologize for my actions back then. I should never have listened to my father,” he stopped on the path, turning towards me, “I wanted you to be my Luna. My father gave me an ultimatum. Eighteen-year-old me couldn’t see past the idea of not being an Alpha,” he whispered, rubbing the back of his neck nervously, “I agreed, thinking the time away would make it easier to forget you. But it only made things harder. And when I came home, you wanted nothing to do with me. Which I deserved. I watched you from afar, hoping that you'd eventually cave, but then we were attacked.....” he trailed off.
