In my dorm room, I lay under the covers of the most incredibly plush bed. Despite being exhausted from all that I’d been through, I couldn't fall asleep. My mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Ryan and what Sally had told me earlier about the Luna Trials.
"Long ago," Sally said in an overly dramatic voice, "it was said that a very powerful member of Ryan's family rejected their destined partner. The Moon Goddess was so angered, she placed a curse on their bloodline, making it impossible for them to find true love. Well… at least not until a special she-wolf is born. They say only she can break the curse by completing several tests. These became known as the Luna trials."
