I lay Grace on the couch as soon as she passed out in my arms. She just learned that her mother is in Status Sleep after believing her daughter had died, and my mate went into shock, which caused her to black out. Grace adores her mother. When we trained under Hecate, Grace would often talk about her mother and how much she meant to my mate.
It’s not a secret that many die during Status Sleep. The pain of what the person was going through would be too much for them to bear, and even their inner beasts couldn’t save them because they had also given up the fight. I’ve never heard of Goddess doing so, though. But Grace’s mother is a mix of so many things. I would have thought she was stronger than this.
