Mom, Dad, Logan, and Ronan stayed for an hour longer. It made my heart happy to see my dad laughing with Killian, as if they were friends of old. Okay, I was worried initially that Dad would hurt Killian. But the fact that my mate stood his ground meant so much to me. I could see that Killian was nervous, maybe even a little afraid, but Killian didn’t back down.
However, I should have known that my father wouldn’t hurt Killian. Dad would never do anything to cause me harm, and killing my mate would have destroyed me.

What Triton did for Killian by removing his facial scars meant everything to my mate. Killian didn’t need to change for me. But he couldn’t bear to look at himself, let alone anyone seeing his face.
