The interior of the bottle shop was an interesting mixture of vintage and industrial, the fixtures and furniture sleek against a backdrop of old brick on the ceiling and warm wooden floors underfoot. There was bar seating in addition to several small round tables and a long table — obviously for large groups — in the center of the floor.
To his relief, Sloane headed for one of the round tables rather than going up to the bar. Not that Jeremy had anything against sitting at a bar, per se, but it was a lot easier to have a private conversation if you were seated at your own table.
