Chapter 2: The Regimen

PART 1:

The Regimen located in Gourd city is one of the noted edifices of the Astral megalopolis. It is located in the east end of Paramount P. It was known for its legacy of changing dictums since the twenty second century. Here, many dauntless dictums were approved and brought into action and as the time went on, many were erased for good or bad. The maximum of earlier dictums were overruled and moderated during the Gaffership of Venerable Jagson. He has taken bold steps in erasing the ancient dictums (referred as Law-from twenty first and twenty second century) and their typical bureaucratic judiciary systems from the Digital Dictum Diary and updated it with latest dictums (Read Popular Dictums - Section B) which were more favorable to the common populace of advanced society. Hence, the thirty years of Venerable Jagson is considered as the aureate epoch.

Venerable Jagson encouraged the scientific thoughts and advancements. Keeping the twenty first century knowledge as base, the boffin (like earlier scientists and biologists) worked on exploring and imploring the advancements that the primitives left behind. They soon realized the importance of eradicating the maladies of aftereffects of apologetic event. They picked up data from the debris and began to work on it in creating many antidotes which could sustain the meager survivors. Since the population was at the extinction verge, they began to experiment new methods of birth and among them genealogy helped them. Their experiment yielded to clinical birth of thousands of infants through various methods like swift cloning and DNA replicated babies. The boffin concluded that a natural birth was too risky (since many of surviving carries didn’t had the strength - both physically and mentally to bore babies for nine long months) and it was very time consuming as well. The secondary concern of the boffin was to reduce the death rate drastically. They experimented on this and concluded that emotive are the major reason for the deployment of mankind. They categorized the maladies into five Sectas and created antidotes for the remedies. Further, using the DNA sequencing the boffins began to miraculously recreate the replaceable human organs. As the time went on, they dedicated themselves (of course, with great support of Venerable Jagson) in making the human organs available in every nook and corner of the Gorbs. Physical shops and Digital Sales Committee (DSC) helped people to recover from maladies like Cardiac arrest, kidney failure, liver failure and other physical injuries like hands and limbs. Every human organ was made readily available so that they can cope up with any kind of traumatic incidents. Slowly the death rate started to decrease in the late twenty second century and things began to get in control.

Another important development of the pioneering society of Gorbs was to invent a never-before human evaluation machine by name ‘Measure of Perfection’ machine. It is a small handy digitized chipset machine, which can be connected and carried anywhere easily. The MoP (Read  DD 3 Version 4:Measure of Perfection) machine or meter (as termed by boffin) can examine and determine human tissues, blood or (gore – termed by boffin) hairs, stools and micro cells of all kinds. The MOP machine can be fitted into a closet or to a toilet seat for that matter. The MOP machine would at once scan the available tissues, molecules and cells through its invisible nanoscopic scanners and analysis the structure and functionality of all related internal organs in matter of few minutes. The work of MOP would continue to analyze the future working of such body and organs to produce a reading in percentages. After successful repeated examination, the MOP reading was found to be very accurate. This inspired the earlier Gaffers and Juntas of that time and they introduced a new way of electing system which can help in selecting the governing body, that is, Gaffers and Juntas to be selected based on their Measure of Perfection. Naturally, a person with high Measure of Perfection (both Physical and Mental) would be ideal to lead the society. Many reading and experiments showed that intellectuals, with unselfish minds scored good percentages.  Hence, the highest scorer was declared as the first Digizen (Gaffer) of Gorbs. The subsequent high scorers would be counted in for the post of five Juntas and the further subsequent would be considered for high profiles based on their various educational knowledge, experience and qualifications.  

Venerable Jagson also pioneered in organizing the advanced transportation system. Since most of the earlier rail and metro tracks, roads, vehicles and airports were destroyed; new types of transportation systems were re-induced to make the transportation easy for public. Many break-through happened and Tubero (fast moving electromagnetic trains) and ZAP Jitneys (a bus kind of public transport for common people) were invented. Further, WinGars and flying cars (cars with small wings on either side) were also originated. WinGars, which could fly in the air at one thousand feet altitude, became popular and used only by Gaffers, Juntas and high-profiled governing people. However, flying cars (which could fly up to six hundred feet in air and a little slower compared to WinGar) and Jet-packs, being less expensive, were soon found in most of the rich household of common people.

Hence, many of these popular elements made venerable Jagson popular. Lately things are changing and fast and Esq. Mayden’s hand is behind everything. His visions and mission are quite in contrary to that of Esq. Jagson. Esq. Jagson believed in centralizing the universe to one fraternity, while Esq. Mayden believed in centralizing the human body to one master organ - the ‘Brainset’.

Presently, the Regimen was all hustle-bustle. The five Juntas clad in blue single suit arrived precisely at the appointed hour. They were surprised to learn that Esq. Mayden has already arrived an hour ago and currently in the mammoth cabin of Regimen popularly known as ‘Injunction Chamber’, where the Gorbs top resolutions and dictums were discussed. The dark interior of the Injunction Chamber was a world in itself. It held high-resolution sensorative-invisible screens which only five Juntas and Esq. Mayden himself had access and could operate with a special watchword – known only to them. They can access any data, any information of the Gorbs within fractions of seconds, and to add, without anyone knowing them about at all. Hence, every time, whenever a high place congregation happened, there were lots of speculations about the subject matter. 

Today, the common populace anticipated a special surge of curious wave as Esq. Mayden has spent nearly an hour by contemplating the new possibility. Hence, when the five WinGars descended from the air-traffic of south-west controller tower, there was an air of public uproar of curio. The five Juntas greeted each other without any emotion and walked in tandem towards the Regimen’s Injunction Chamber. The Juntas, being the second and subsequent best scores in MOP, had the tenacity to endure any curiosity unlike the common populace. There were no more than formal greeting among them. The Plods escorted the Juntas across the waiting big surge platform and keyed-in the destination. The surge at once, though smoothly, started gliding like paper rocket, up and above, side and spiral and gently debarked the five esteemed Juntas just beside the entrance of Digitagramic main door of Injunction Chamber.
