Taming The Alpha

Heinrich was surprised by the sudden proposal, because, how and why should the enemy want to marry his son? It was pretty obvious that the Doiltean knew about Damien's little problem.

"I refuse", Heinrich said immediately, without even letting Alex try to explain his reasons. "You shall leave immediately, I am not ordering my men to attack, so you can leave peacefully. But if you and your caravan insist on staying, then I will order the attack".

"So it will be, because I am not leaving without even explaining my reasons", Alex said, as an uncomfortable silence reigned in the lair.

«This boy», Heinrich thought immediately, «he is indeed brave». Still, he was not letting Damien even get out of his tent.

"If you can only listen to me, you will see that I have good intentions, not only with your heir but also with our clans".

Heinrich thought about whether to listen to him or not for a moment. After all, we were not losing anything by listening, only time. And that was that he needed to kill in order to keep his mind occupied, even when it was about the topic he wanted to avoid.

"Then speak, I am all ears", Heinrich said, and asking them to enter his tent.

That could be considered a victory for Alex and Ursula, who went into the big tent just as they wanted. The place on the outside looked humble, in a way, but on the inside, it was truly bigger and with a fancier taste. It was almost like being in an old palace, a castle or something else, more when they were instructed to go downstairs, signal that the tent was only a facade, and the real deal was underground.

Both clans were truly like two different worlds.

"Then, you dare to come here, into the enemy's territory, and ask to marry the only son of the Alpha", Heinrich said, after making a call for Gealach and Demian. The redhead Luna came first, sitting next to his mate, and taking by surprise the sudden petition.

"Yes", Alex said, after looking at the woman's shocked expression. "First of all, I apologize for the last night ambush. I would lie if I said that it was not my intention to take advantage of the ceremony you were having. But coming to reflection, it is better for both of our clans if we settle down our differences and make an alliance".

Ursula put her attention on every word that her son was saying, approving every sentence that his lips were talking to Heinrich. He was truly becoming an experimental leader, and she was actually seeing the approval of the Cleite leader.

" It is surprising that you decided suddenly on taking a 'peaceful path', but", Heinrich asked, "I am certainly curious about why would you be so interested in marrying a Cleite member, specifically my heir".

Alex swallowed his own saliva during the interrogation. He didn't know how to answer that, but the answer came fast to his mind, even before Ursula could save him from the situation.

"Because the night of the ambush, I met your heir, and we fell connected", not to say, that he went crazy for him and almost abused Demian. It sounded actually romantic, by saying something that sounded like «we made a bond on the instant», «we clicked since our eyes met». It was a clear answer, not so cheesy and direct to his intentions. "I know that sounds crazy, making a sudden bond with another alpha, but believe when I say that I could only think of your son as my partner", avoiding the terms 'Luna' or 'mate', to make less embarrassing the fact that he knew that Demian was an omega.

Even when Heinrich felt that way, and was in fact offended by the sole idea of his son bonding with the enemy, it was that moment when Gealach interrupted.

"If I am being asked", Gealach said, " then I could think about your proposal. After all, we, both Alpha Heinrich and I, could consider your offer. Peace is also important to our clan, but can you consider the daughter of another noble of Cleite?"

"I would like to consider, but believe me when I say, that I have a strong hunch about my current decision", Alex said firmly, looking now at Cleite's Luna.

"And, also, how do you know that our Damien feels the same way?", that was an important question, and Gellie was interested in seeing how he would answer that.

Of course, Alex was nervous about how to answer it, even biting the inside of his lips.

"Let me see him, and I am sure that he will feel the same way I feel", Alex said, with a sweet smile on his face, at the curious look of Ursula, who was actually thinking about how he would do that Damien could say yes so carelessly.

And talking about Damien, he did not appear when he was called minutes ago. A servant came then, and whispering into Heinrich's ear, he was notified that he was, in fact, having another heated moment.

"You will see him after dinner", Heinrich said. "So please, your majesties, I ask both of you to stay this night, take dinner with us, and surely tomorrow in the morning you will have an answer.

Both of the Dolteans accepted the offering, and then they were taken to a guests' room. The hospitality of the Cleite was indeed delicious, as they gave them some of their servants to attend the requests they could have. Then, after arriving in the guests' room, was the time to talk seriously.

"How will you make that omega want you?", was Ursula's question.

"I still can't figure it out", Alex answered, "but once I even see him, I know I will find the answer to that".

This was truly a life or death situation, since they barely knew anything about Damien, except his intersexual nature, and that he was in heat.

On the other hand, both of the Cleite leaders were worried.

"He knows, he obviously knows", Heinrich said, worried about the true intentions of Alexander.

"And if he knows, would it be better for everyone to approve his request?", Gellie did not want to give her only and beloved son into marriage in that way. Also, she liked Amanda very much, as the girl didn't know anything about what was happening to Damien.

Heinrich did not need to think a lot about it, because he came to a faster conclusion.

"He obviously knows that Damien is an omega", the Alpha said. "If we refuse his petition, for sure Alexander will open his damn mouth, and spread the word about Damien. So, isn't it less embarrassing if Damien becomes the mate of our enemy, that he is suddenly called an omega?".

Gealach, of course, was surprised about his reasoning.

"You are not thinking then about your son..."

"I'm thinking of what could be best for his honor..."

"You are thinking of what is best for your honor than of what is best for him!", Gealach yelled. She was obviously furious, more when Damien was now in need of understanding and passing an undesirable heat. Both could keep screaming and fighting, but Heinrich did not want to do that, leaving and going to Damien's room, and talking to him about the situation, even if he was in condition or not.
