Parker
Weird enough, I couldn’t sleep. I got distracted with a sweet, honey scent, which reminded me that I am sitting beside a woman. I’m used to travelling alone when going on business trips, but for this one, I had to bring Ellie with me, because this is one of the biggest deals that is happening to our company, It will be a long time legacy.
Ellie fell asleep while reading. Thank God was all I could thought of when I heard her snoring softly. I couldn’t concentrate on what I was typing because of her constant giggles. She was reading for an hour or so and I keep hearing her laughter. I caught a glimpse of her book and it seemed like it was a romantic novel.
However, weird as it may sound, her laughter was music to my ears.
It was sweet, and delicate. She sounded like a sweet, innocent girl.
I looked at her again and she was heavily asleep. I slowly took her book and read through the first page. It was long enough before I realized I was already halfway through it. I didn’t notice the time, so I quickly returned her book from where I got it in the first place.
I decided to go to the restroom for me to stretch my legs a bit, since I was already sitting for hours. When I got back, I saw Ellie’s position faced at me, her right arm supported her cheeks as she slept peacefully. She looked so sweet, so lovely she looked like an angel. She shifted on her seat and her tongue swept over her pink lips leaving them damp and inviting as the chocolate smudge above the corner of her mouth.
I don’t know what has gotten into me, but I just want to lick her lips clean.
What the f**k, Parker? What are you thinking!
I snapped out of it. Stop thinking about it.
To avoid temptation, I went back to my seat.
I don’t know exactly why I had to bring Ellie on this trip. I could have just gone alone. But Clarke and Grandma told me I should bring her with me, for moral support. We badly need this deal to be closed. Although Ellie can be annoying and loud sometimes, I need her on this trip.
I decided to get some sleep. I closed my eyes.
Suddenly, the plane shook and dropped. I was startled, but I kept my calm. I laid my hand on my seat’s arm rest, but Ellie’s hand was there.
I looked at the woman sleeping next to me. She seems like in a deep sleep, but I can see her creased forehead. I held her hand and intertwined our fingers. She seemed to look calm now when I did so. She must have felt the turbulence.
Suddenly, the plane shook again and this time someone from the back screamed. Ellie got startled and woke up from her sleep. She slowly opened her eyes.
“What’s happening?” she asked.
“Just a little turbulence,” I said. I kept calm so that she won’t feel scared.
“So I wasn’t dreaming then when someone shouted?” she asked.
I was about to answer when the airplane speakers sounded. “Ladies and gentlemen. We are experiencing some heavy turbulence and the pilot has turned on the seat belt on. Please remain buckled in your seats until the seat belt light is turned off. Thank you.”
Ellie’s grip on my hand tightened and I could feel her shaking. “Are we going to be okay?” she asked.
“Well, as far as I know, airplanes don’t crash due to turbulence,” I lied. I don’t want her to panic.
“Really?” she asked.
“Yes,” I said reassuringly.
“Oh my god,” she said. The airplane shook once again, and we were thrown back in our seats.
“It shouldn’t last long,” I said to calm her a little bit.
She fell silent as the plane continued to sway. I carefully watched her to makes sure she won’t faint or panic. I looked at our hands. Neither of us wouldn’t want to let go. I don’t want to think about us crashing, but I would admit, holding her hand calmed me down.
The airplane stopped swaying for a few minutes, and then swayed again. I saw Ellie panicking again. I couldn’t take it anymore, so I took my hand and pulled her in my arm.
She clung on my arm. “Can’t you make it stop?” she said.
I looked at her. God knows how much I want to make it stop, but its impossible for me to do it.
I couldn’t stop the turbulence, but maybe I can distract her from it.
I looked at her face. “You have chocolate on your face,” I said.
She looked surprised. “What?”
“Right here,” I lowered my head and licked the corner of her mouth, cleaning her lip side with a flick of my tongue.
