Anna's pov'
It's Saturday morning and I was greeted first by the morning sun. I opened one of my eyes to find Debby opening the curtains.
"Rise and shine, beauties" she beamed, smiling sweetly. Debby was always an early riser, unlike me and Vivian.
Vivian groaned as the light entered her eyes. Realization hit me and I remembered all that happened last night. Which made me smile. I was currently in Vivian's room, which had a queen-sized bed on which I was currently sitting.
Debby's effort to get Vivian off the bed worked because they were both on the floor.
"Hey! Today's Saturday, can't someone at least get a long sleep" Vivian protested as she made efforts to climb back into, the bed to continue her sleep, Debby seeing this grabbed onto her legs.
I couldn't help but laugh at them as I headed to Vivian's bathroom to brush my teeth. I brought all the kinds of stuff I needed in a duffle bag.
I went back into the room and saw them both staring at me. They were both sitting on the bed waiting for me I guess.
"What's going on?" I asked with a raised brow because a while ago they were acting like kids now they looked composed or expectant about something.
I just made my way to the bed and made myself comfortable with pillows.
"Girl, It's time to spill," Vivian said, amused. "I saw you with Tyler's cousin, I heard his name is Derek" she made emphasis on the last part.
"Ohhh " Debby cheered, "Do you like him?" She asked curiously.
"Umm- I don't know, Nothing hap-penned, okay," I said hesitantly, I wasn't sure why I was feeling nervous all of a sudden.
"Nothing happened alright" Vivian grinned, wiggling her brows, not convinced by my answer. I blushed slightly because something did happen that I wasn't sure of.
Debby started giggling, noticing my cheeks, and gave me a bear hug. Way to go! Anna, now you've convinced them that something has happened.
"Hey!, Why is this all about me? What about you guys, huh?" I protested.
"Fine..." Debby started," you know Kyle, the guy I've been crushing on for a long time..." She was blushing hard.
"Ohhh," Vivian and I said in the realization of whom she was referring to as we gestured for her to continue.
".... He told me he liked me and... We made out." she blurted out. I and Vivian couldn't help but burst into laughter at how nervous she was.
Debby noticing our expressions, pouted and crossed her arms like a 5-year-old child who didn't get what she wanted. I tried to regain control and hugged her.
"So... " Vivian dragged, amused, " are you like... Together," she asked.
"Umm...... I'm not quite sure. He told me he was gonna give me a call. That's something I guess.
"Yea..." I muttered as my nose picked up a sweet aroma that was apparently coming from downstairs, someone. Someone was cooking.
It looks like I wasn't the only one who smelt it. "Well, I'm hungry," Vivian said, rubbing her tummy as she made her way downstairs. Debby and I followed her all wearing our nightwear.
Then I saw Dylan in the kitchen. It looked like he was the one making the delicious food- I mean pancakes... Yay!. He was wearing a white shirt and black shorts. He looked in our direction as we headed to the dining hall where the food was.
"Morning," we all said as we got our plates. Dylan nodded in response as he finished up with the last batch of pancakes and joined us to eat.
" Dylan, you've really outdone yourself" Vivian cheered and she took a big bite out of her pancake. Debby and I hummed in agreement because it tasted so good.
I moaned while chewing my pancakes, which brought everyone's eyes to me.
"What!" I snapped.
"Could you stop making that sound!... It sounds odd" Vivian said awkwardly, Debby and Dylan nodded in agreement.
"Okay, this is awkward," I said as I packed my dishes, heading to the kitchen sink to wash the dishes." A girl cannot enjoy her meal in peace" I muttered, rolling my eyes.
"Yes she can," Dylan said huskily, which startled me because I felt his breath fan my neck. For a while, I thought I was imagining it until I noticed how close we were. I finished up with the dishes and headed upstairs to get cleaned up, avoiding stares from Debby and Vivian.
I had a warm bath with Vivian's strawberry shampoo and wore denim shorts and a grey t-shirt. Debby and Vivian cleaned up later on and we all headed to the backyard to relax and cool off.
We do this once in a while and sometimes rotate our visits between our houses.
"So what was that!" Vivian asked with a raised brow facing my direction. I could tell she was looking at me through her shades.
"What was what!" I asked innocently, remembering what she might be referring to.
"Don't act dumbfounded, you know what I'm talking about! What happened to you and Dylan in the kitchen?" She implied.
"Ummm- I really don't know" I answered. Well, I wasn't lying though, I couldn't figure out what really happened back then.
Just as Vivian was about to talk, my phone rang, which cut her off. I was glad and quickly picked up the call not bothering to check who was calling.
"Hey, Anna, right?!" a deep husky voice said through the line which made shivers run down my spine. With that, I got up and headed inside, not wanting Debby and Vivian to listen to the rest of our conversation.
"Yeah... Who am I speaking to?" I asked, playing with the bottom of my shirt. I already had a hint and could tell who it was by his voice, Derek.
"Umm... It's Derek, we met yesterday-" he started.
"Yeah, of course, I remember you," I said, cutting him off.
"So-" he started hesitantly." Are you busy today? Maybe we can meet up or something?!"
I didn't have anything to do for the rest of the day and the sun was still bright. Does he mean like a date?!. I started freaking out, forgetting he was still waiting for my answer, so I just went with what felt right at the moment. YES!
"Sure, we can meet up. Where do you propose?!" I asked curiously.
"Text me your address and I'll come to pick you up by 3." And with that, he cut the call.
I immediately texted him Vivian's address.
Then I headed to where my curious besties were. I'm sure they'll have a lot of questions to ask. So to save myself from their interrogation, I told them about Derek and our call.
"OMG Anna, I can't believe you're going on an actual date" Debby gushed dreamily. Oh brother, I mentally facepalmed myself.
"Hey, I didn't say it was a date," I said, trying to convince for the umpteenth time.
"It sure sounds like one," Vivian said, wiggling her brows. " I can't believe it's Derek, I've heard rumors that he's so hot-" she gushed.
"Oh brother, thanks for ruining this for me guys. Now I'm really nervous" I said truthfully, which I was.
" Don't worry, we've got you covered. You have about 2 hours to prepare" Vivian said reassuringly.
"Wa it! Where is he taking you?" Debby asked.
"He didn't mention-" I said.
Debby and Vivian looked at each other and then at me.
" It's a surprise date!" They both screamed. And with that, they got up and dragged me to the room.
"Hey!, What's up with you too, are you guys crazy?" I said, looking at them as if they grew an extra head.
"We're going get you all dressed up for your date," Debby said sweetly, as we entered Vivian's room.
"You guys do realize, I just met him yesterday, right!"
"Yeah, if you didn't like him. Then why did you agree to go on a date with him, huh?!" Vivian asked.
" Because it felt right" I snapped, "besides, it wouldn't feel right to turn him down" of course, I wasn't going to prove her right.
"Well stop arguing and let's find Anna an outfit" Debby adds, going through Vivian's wardrobe.
After an hour of looking for an outfit, we finally found one which we all agreed on. It was a yellow & white sundress that stopped above my knees and white sneakers.
I let my hair down to its natural curls and applied a few hair creams that gave my hair a natural shine. I put on my lip gloss and a little powder since I wasn't a fan of heavy makeup.
I looked at myself in the mirror and was happy with how I looked. I felt more confident than usual.
"I think you're good to go" Debby cheered.
"They grow up so fast," Vivian said, pretending to wipe imaginary tears from her eyes.
"Thanks so much, guys," I said, hugging them both.
A few minutes later, Derek arrived just on time for our ride. Ohh my God...Did I mention I felt confident before. Well, I lied I'm nervous?
My silver eyes met with his intense green ones, then I went on taking in his appearance. He looked so hot in his black ripped jeans and grey T-shirt that hugged onto his body like a second skin. His blond hair was messy, but that only made him look more attractive.
I moved closer to the car and he turned down the window.
He smiled at me as his eyes swept throughout my body.
"Hi," I said, smiling back before I bid my friends goodbye. They gave me a reassuring smile. Then I made my way to the passenger seat before we zoomed off.
I felt his gaze on me now and then while I was looking at the window.
"Where are we going?" I asked, still looking at the window, possibly avoiding his gaze.
"You'll see," he answered.
