Thankfully, the attack was just a small party of the enemy’s men sent to test the waters. Of course, they would try and strike now, believing that the king would be incapacitated, thinking that he would be in a state of morning, but little did they know, this was all part of our plan.
Unfortunately, their timing wasn’t the greatest, as I never would have foreseen that I would have been in the middle of a damn dispute with some random rogue Raven had met before me. But regardless of what was left on the table to discuss with Raven and her so-called friend, I still had a job that needed to be done.
