Cash’s POV
Thankfully, the first bell rang, leaving only a few tardy students in the hallways, as I made my way out of the school with Raven tucked safely under my arm. She had put on a good show of bravery against Jessica, but the aftermath of it was beginning to show on her, as she willfully snuggled into me.
It wasn’t until I removed my arm from around her shoulder to open the door for her, did I notice a visible handprint on her neck. By the size of it, I was sure that it didn’t belong to Jessica, leading me to believe that there was only one other possible assailant that could have done this.
“Who did this to you?” I asked Raven, wanting to make sure that my assumption was correct, as I moved my hand to her chin, tilting her head to the side, as I took a better look at it.
