Chance’s POV
“Where’s her body?” My father asks me as soon as he shifts into his human form, while the other pack members stay in their wolf form, surrounding the property, as if they were keeping a look-out.
“She’s inside the house.” I said, as I moved to the front door, holding it open for him to enter to see Ms. Wilson for himself.
As soon as my father stepped through the front door, I watched him raise his hand to cover his mouth, and I knew that it wasn’t from the smell, but from the shock of seeing her gone. My father had always had a soft spot in his heart for Ms. Wilson, and after Raven arrived, I now knew why.
“I don’t understand why someone would bring her body back to our territory. Why not just leave her at the hospital where she died?” I said to my father, breaking the awk
