Chase’s POV Thankfully, Raven’s ass had fallen asleep not too far into the drive to the hospital, as I didn’t know if I could take two whole hours of her bitching at me about my driving. I have to admit, the girl had a raging fire inside of her, one that I don’t think I could even put out, if I wanted to, but the truth was, I didn’t want to put her fire out, I just wanted her to go back to California. There was a reason why her mother had left here all those years ago, and since her mother had left, the town, for the most part, had been peaceful. But now that Raven was here, all hell had broken loose again, and I feared that more pack members’ lives were at stake, including her own, and I couldn’t allow her to die at the hands of a rogue just like my mother.
