Chance’s POV
It was loud and clear what Mrs. Jacobs was trying to tell us in not so many words, but I found it hard to believe that my family would cover up something so heinous. On the other hand, they had faked my uncle’s death, making me question that maybe she might just be telling the truth.
One thing that was clear though was Mrs. Jacobs was defiantly bitter about her brother’s death, and it was apparent that she blamed my family all these years for what happened. It now made me wonder what game she was playing, as I remember it very clearly her trying to get with our father, after her mate had died alongside our mother. Plus, there was the fact that she was for her daughter being our mate and Luna, making me wonder if she was up to something that entitled revenge for her brother’
