Thankfully, it didn’t take me long to change, but I needed to make sure that Mazie was okay with watching over my friends while Chance took me to the wolves’ den. Of course, Mazie was more than okay with it, and I knew exactly why, as I busted her stealing glances at Lexi.
It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Mazie was interested, and for the first time since I had come here, I felt like Mazie was truly being her real self. Maybe it was the fact that she was among people that made her feel comfortable in her skin, but I just wished that she could feel that way towards us, as there was no judgement on any of our behaves, as we loved her for whatever and whoever she chose to be.
