Chase’s POV
My damn brothers were impossible. Just when I thought that maybe the three of us could finally get along, the sons of a b***h accused me of hurting Raven, when, in actual reality, I had saved her ass today from an inevitable death. Not only did I save her ass, I took out the asshole who was responsible for the wolfsbane poisoning that almost took my brother and I out.
But, of course, neither of them will ever know that, because they are both too quick to jump my ass for something I didn’t do. I get that they are protective of our little mate, but I learned my lesson in the janitor’s closet with her. Even without accepting her as my mate, I was still able to feel her fear as mine but also feel her pain and her desires.
