I could have sworn I heard a low growl come from behind us, making me pull away to see Chance and Cash staring at Jacob like they wanted to rip his head off. It took all I had to hold back a chuckle that was now resonating in my gut, as I realized that these two were jealous. Jacob was the boy in the picture they had seen on my phone, and for all they knew he was my boyfriend from back home.
