I never meant to bring Cash and Chase into the fight with Jessica and I, but it ended up that way. Cash right now was far from the easy-going brother I had found him to be, as it was clear that my fight triggered a side that I didn’t know existed in him.
As I moved to grab my backpack, I watched Cash out of the corner of my eye approach my coach, making me worry about what he was saying to her. But as I moved towards the two of them, thinking that I was about to be told by the coach that my actions weren’t acceptable to the squad, she said to me instead, “Miss Knight, I guess I will see you tomorrow at practice.” Before she walked away towards the squad, gathering them up, like the fight between Jessica and I never happened.
