I watched as Cash licked his lips, and my heart began to race, knowing that this was a sign that he was about to kiss me, but I couldn’t lead him on, even with butterflies dancing in my stomach with the thought of his lips pressed against my own. It was clear that he wanted me to stay here because of what he had just said, but I couldn’t allow myself to get involved with someone that would hold me back from pursuing my dreams.
