"Why did you pull the trigger?" I ask Mr. William as we wait outside the emergency room.
"To protect you," he says, "Baldwin was seriously going to shoot at you and I doubt you'd have survived if he did."
I sigh, pacing the waiting area, "I was going to talk things out with him."
"It would have been too late, you're welcome."
Mr. William and I drove Baldwin to the hospital immediately after he was shot in his thigh and now we're waiting for a response from the doctors performing surgery on him.
I'm waiting for Baldwin to regain consciousness so that I talk to him about everything and surprisingly, Mr. William is waiting for me.
"Is he alright?" Kate taps my shoulder.
"Kate, how are you?" I say, "He should be fine soon. It was just a bullet in his thigh."
She nods, "Alright."
