Kellan and I were currently walking the halls of the pack house. He was showing me around and I wasn't complaining because I enjoyed the time I had with him. The sound of my foot steps were muffled by red carpets and the walls were a light gold color with intricate designs. It was brightly lit with chandeliers illuminating a golden light. It made everything stand out and somewhat looked like royalty.
My eyes glanced upon a painting of a little girl and boy. Both looked identical except for the girl which had feminine features apart from the boy. I admired the details of it for a while until a question popped into my head and before I could stop it the words flew out of my mouth. "Is that you?"
His features that were once peaceful, turned to cold one as he figured what I was referring to.
