Chapter 8 After the whole parking lot debacle Rachel was immediately called to the managers office.Although John was the owner of the diner, Mr. Donald Green was the appointed manager. He was a bold headed, dark skinned man with light brown eyes. He was always respectful towards the girls and never did anything to make them feel uncomfortable. She has thought about it and come to the conclusion that it must be because of  his face , he had a kind face and actually a quit attractive one as well. "Rachel!" he exclaimed smiling when she came in."Glad to have you back." Rachel returned his kind smile and went to take a seat on the opposite of his desk in order to face him.His face grew somber for a minute. "Listen Rachel, he began scratching the side of the face. What happen last Monday can never happen again.Your going to have to learn to control your temper. The incident directed a lot of unwanted attention at the club and that's not good for anyone. Not for John, not for me and especially not for you.Don't get me wrong, I understand your reaction and it is validated but the next time you have a problem you don't try and handle it yourself. You come to me or John and the club will handle it for you. That's the way it's suppose to be done. Do you understand?" Rachel nodded to him, she knew her behavior wasn't professional nor lady like and her cheeks grew hot in embarrassment. "I'm going to have to hear you say it sweetheart" he told her leaning slightly forward, not breaking eye contact with her. An strange feeling grew inside her chest the man she once viewed as a softy was holding her captive with his eyes. Even though his face didn't show any signs of anger nor was his voice threatening , still she could not help but feel that he was indeed warning her not to cross them again. "Yes I understand" she tried to hold her voice steady but failed miserably. "Good", he said leaning back into his black office chair with his signature smile plastered on his face once again. Unsure of herself Rachel slowly stood  up walking to the door. She was eager to go back to work in hopes of forgetting the strange and intimidating conversation. Just as she was about to turn the door handle so she could leave he stopped her in her tracks. "Rachel it would be smart of you to take my advise to heart.Next time the conversation won't be so...gentle". That was enough to make Rachel run out of the office as fast as her feet would allow. How could  could she be so wrong about someone?Surely it can't be just her? He would be able to fool anyone with that nice guy act.A true wolf in sheep's clothing and what's with this damn club he keeps mentioning? She made a mental note to ask Jackie as soon as she get's a chance. Rachel was currently getting dressed for a party, she was friendly informed that her presence would be expected. She had asked Jackie all about the club Mr.Green kept mentioning and Jackie was visibly shocked that she honestly didn't know what he was talking about. Apparently JJ's belongs to John ,yes but it was a club business and that club just happens to be the outlaw motorcycle club God's of Chaos.Rachel nearly peed herself at the mention of their name, it was the same club that everyone warned her about before she got here and now her stupid ass were working for them. Jackie had asked her if she never noticed the club name on the leather vest they always wore and she couldn't help but put her head down in shame. Knowing full well she was always to distracted with their faces. Besides she was working she always put's in everything when she's at work only concentrating at the task at hand. Then she suddenly realized that she had insulted a club member for parking in the wrong spot, he could have hurt her for showing him disrespect! Why the hell did no one stop her the thought made her sick and for the rest of the day she chewed her best friend out about it. Rachel stared at her reflection in the mirror she had decided on wearing a light pink dress that covered her front completely except for her shoulders and arms .The dress stopped just under her rib cage and slight came out to just below her mid thigh. It had two delicate straps that fasten behind her neck and two that fasten just below her shoulder blades leaving the rest of her back exposed. It was elegant but not formal and the color complimented her skin tone. She wore a pair of black ankle booths to give her attire a even more laid back look, while her hair hang wild and loose down her back. She would have thought she looked perfect if it wasn't for the petrified look in her eyes.It was a work party or so Donald had said hence the friendly invite that she had to attend.but that wasn't what bothered her. What bothered her was the fact that it was being held at the club house. At first she was confused as to why it was being held there  but then Jackie explained that it was a club business and it wasn't just our work party but every other business they owned' employees would also be there including the club members and their old ladies. She didn't feel like learning anymore about her employers and their club so she didn't ask what the hell an old lady was. Obviously it was a reference to females but what it consisted of was beyond her. It took everything in her to not call Jackie and tell her she was sick and wouldn't be able to go to the party. Just to make it seem legit she would go to the doctor and get a sick note, it would be easy she had done it before and that way she wouldn't make the club her enemy. But yet again what if she wasn't able to get a sick note, what would they do to her for lying? It might seem like she's jumping to conclusions but how on earth was she suppose to know where they drew the line? Rachel was pulled out of her thoughts by the honk of a car. Jackie must be here she realized, she was going to be her ride to the party since Rachel didn't know where the club house was and really didn't want to arrive alone. Grabbing her purse from her dresser she hopped down the stairs and locked the door before she left. "Hi, you ready?' Jackie asked grinning at her. Rachel was about to say yes but then her eyes fell on Jackie and she took in her appearance.she was wearing a dark blue skinny jean , black boots and a guns and roses t-shirt. her hair hang loose and crimson red lipstick coated her lips. She looked dangerously sexy and immediately made Rachel feel over dressed. "What are you wearing?' she asked narrowing her eyes at her best friend. "What do you mean?" Jackie asked confused. "Oh I don't know , let me think....Rachel's voice was laced with sarcasm.maybe it's the fact that your dressed like Lara Croft and I look like I'm on my way to attend a f*****g luncheon! Why didn't you tell me to dress a little more edgy Jackie?" "Because , she began rolling her eyes at me, "your dressed like you! And I'm not going to let you change yourself just to please other people. This is how I normally dress Rach and I know if you invited me to a dinner or something with fancy people , you would tell me to wear what ever i wanted and to not care about what people would think or say." She was right I would have wanted her to come as herself and Rachel looked with new admiration at her best friend. The car ride was shorter than she expected or maybe it was the fact that she and Jackie had such a great time chatting on the way over that she didn't notice the time. As soon as they stopped the car Rachel regretted coming as herself, she would gladly be a phony right now. A sea of black greeted them , leather, lace, denim, cotton the list was endless but one thing was consisted and that was the color black. And what wasn't black was other strong intimidating colors like dark blue, gray and red. "You lost princess?" A club member asked and the men around him burst out laughing."I can give you a ride if you want? Don't worry I'll make you feel real good." Nervous sweats began to gather on Rachel's forehead. Great! It hasn't even been five minutes since they arrived and already she was being mocked.
